SBS Freshmen Orientation 2015
SBS organized freshmen orientation on Friday 18 September 2015 which was attended by several prominent members of the biological department. The event started with a short introductory video of the faculty of the Biological Sciences Department and followed by a welcoming speech for freshmen by head of department, Dr Samina Mehnaz. The core members of SBS were also introduced to the audience. Later on, notable alumni, Muhammad Adeel had an interactive session with the freshmen students about the opportunities a biotechnologist/biologist can expect. The freshmen were divided into two groups and had a tour of the research labs under the supervision of faculty members. After the tour of the research labs, a games session was organized to refresh the mood. General Secretary, SBS talked about mentorship program by SBS which is initiated to help the freshmen students to get settled in the university life. In the end new students signed the orientation poster.
