Intra Debates Arena 2024
The Intra Debates Arena 2024 was organized by Formanites Debating Society on 6,7,8 November 2024 was a resounding success, offering college and university students a platform to showcase their debating skills. The event opened with a warm welcome from the hosts, followed by inspiring words from Sir Kamil, which motivated participants to embrace the spirit of debate.
The national anthem united participants, setting a tone of pride and determination. President Sahil Bhatti captivated the audience with his dynamic presence. Drawing from his extensive experience, he emphasized the importance of cultivating a culture of healthy debate and critical thinking, while Aimen Sheraz delivered a compelling briefing on equity policies, underscoring inclusivity in debates. The event featured captivating musical performances, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
With motions disclosed and participants ushered to their rooms, debates began in earnest, creating a dynamic environment of intellectual exchange. Adjudicators provided constructive feedback, enhancing the educational and competitive value of the event.
The final day was marked by championship debates and a stirring declamation session with 40-50 participants. The audience was captivated by the passionate delivery and diverse perspectives of the speakers.
During the closing ceremony, Ma’am Alvina, Usama Zulfiqar, and Mr. Ehtisham Akhtar shared valuable critiques. The Rector praised the dedication and spirit of participants and President before announcing the winners:
Awards were presented by the President, Rector and Advisor, celebrating the achievements of all participants. The event concluded with a soulful Ghazal Night led by Ifraeem Yousaf, leaving the audience spellbound.
