EWC Pet Show 2025: A Heartwarming Welcome Back to Campus!
The Earth Watch Club (EWC) marked the return of students to campus for Spring 2025 in a truly special way—by bringing their beloved pets along! The highly anticipated EWC Pet Show 2025 was a spectacular event that sent ripples of excitement not just across campus but beyond, drawing 400+ pet lovers and enthusiasts from various communities.
The event kicked off with an engaging pet meet and greet, where students and their furry companions enjoyed a series of fun-filled activities. From paw impressions capturing adorable memories to slurp stations ensuring pets stayed refreshed, every aspect was thoughtfully designed. A photo booth allowed owners to pose with their pets, while a dedicated pet play area kept tails wagging with joy.
The official opening ceremony was led by Dr. Elizabeth Schwaiger, chief student affairs officer, who set the stage for an exhilarating day. The first major highlight was the Cat Show, where feline charm took center stage. Dr. Arslan Chaudhary, serving as the esteemed judge, evaluated the adorable cats on their grooming, agility, and unique talents.
Following the feline showcase, it was time for the dogs to steal the spotlight. An array of breeds, including German Shepherds, Labradors, Huskies, Golden Retrievers, and Poodles, enthusiastically participated. The Dog Show, judged by the energetic Dr. Sharoon Gill, kept the audience captivated with incredible performances and endearing tricks.
As the event drew to a close, Dr. Jonathan Addleton delivered closing remarks, appreciating the enthusiasm and spirit of the participants. He then proceeded to distribute trophies to the well-deserved winners, celebrating the bond between pets and their owners.
Adding to the success of the event, free pet food, accessories, checkups, and consultations were generously provided by our esteemed sponsors, ensuring the well-being of all participating pets.
