FJS screens documentary, ‘Lahore ki Ratein’
The Forman Journalism Society (FJS) organized the screening of a documentary, ‘Lahore ki Ratein’. This candid and real depiction of the culture of Lahore earned the Best Documentary Award of Pakistan Television (PTV) in 2006. The screening was accompanied by a talk by Dr Syeda Arfa Zehra, who was the narrator, scriptwriter and researcher for the documentary.
Dr Arfa shared her experiences of making the documentary. She told students that though documentary is not a marketable medium in Pakistan, but passion combined with a lot of hard work particularly regarding the research of documentary can make it popular among masses.
Dean of Humanities, Dr Waseem Anwar, Chairperson of Mass Communication Department, Dr Hanan Mian along with other faculty members and students attended the event.
