WES holds a talk on ‘The Long Road to Equality’
Women Empowerment Society hosted a talk on ‘The Long Road to Equality’ with Tasneem Peerzada on Monday 19 September 2016. A redeemed activist, journalist and writer from the prestigious Peerzada family of Rafi peer group, enlisted the torturous trails women had to endure throughout the centuries. Both the Western and Eastern spectrum’s of the worlds had at one time or the other, offered little but negative scrutiny. The debate proceeded to centralize towards eradicating feudal objectification and mistreatment of women. The audience was rapt in their attention and a healthy battle of opinions ensued. The event proved to be a resounding success with sound exchange of feministic approaches.
