SCS Commemorates Peace Day
Speers Chemical Society in collaboration with the Dean of Natural Sciences organised Peace Day on 15 October 2018. The main essence of the event was to promote & encourage the attainment of not just the knowledge of peace but the insights to the real implementations of it. After the Quran & Bible recitations, the Chairperson of Chemistry Department, Dr Maria Rashida gave the inaugural speech. The event was thereafter adorned with powerful messages of two amazing speakers; Muneeb & Warda, a soulful performance performed by the Mystic Mantra band and finally the poster competition that centered around the theme of peace. The Dean of Natural Sciences appreciated the efforts and shared his personal points of views regarding the matter. The event’s chief guest was Dr Christi Munir. The Peace Day Event was ended with the Prize Distribution to the winner of the Poster Competition who was Sahar Iftikhar. The event was finally called to rest with the insights of peace and encouragements to the wise implementations of it.
