Music Society holds orientation and auditions session

The Music Society held auditions and orientation for recruiting new talent in the society on Friday 27 September 2013. The session started with recitations from the Holy Quran and Bible.

Um-e-Aimen opened the event by giving an overview of the Music Society followed by an informative and interesting presentation explaining the society’s goals, scope of being a member and the opportunities available for young talent. Co-adviser of Music Society Mr Kamran Azhar gave a brief speech about the Music Society, and the team’s effort which has helped to take the society much farther.

Hamza Butt, Shahrukh Sherwani and Zaryab Abbas performed an instrumental piece. A video presentation was screened which showed students appreciating FCC’s Open Mic Nights, which are organized by the Music Society. This event has not only been applauded by the students but by the teachers and management as well.

Hamza Butt and Shahrukh Khan Sherwani performed a second time after which the auditions for new talent started. Anyone was welcome to come and audition. The response was much better than expected, as many students were interested. The selected students were registered in the society. The session ended on a positive note as the audience appreciated the effort put up the Music Society.
