Looney Toons victorious in 7-a-side Football Championship

Looney Toons won the inaugural edition of 7-a-side Football Championship, edging out Minions 1-0 in a toughly contested final encounter. Nayyar Abbas scored an early and the only goal for the champions. In the other match, 7 Fathers defeated BDC All Stars on penalty shootout to clinch 3rd place. Minions’ skipper Nausherwan Khan was the top scorer of the event, scoring 7 goals. Team-mate Aarfain Haider was named the best goalkeeper, while Looney Toons’ striker Momin Jamal was awarded the best player of the tournament award. Haris Sandhu, Momin Kareem and Hamza Saeed bagged the young players of the event awards, while Abdur Rehman Gillani was adjudged the best young keeper for his 6 clean sheets.
