On this Independence Day, the Forman Journalism Society feels proud in rooting out for a plantation drive that hopes in propagating the idea of clean and greener Pakistan. The sheer grit and determination with which the task was carried out reflected the zeal of the teams towards the betterment of Pakistan. To celebrate the Independence Day in its true essence, the council of Forman Journalism Society organized a tree plantation drive to encounter the threats that are posed by increasing phenomenon of global warming by collaborating with Malik Haider Tiwani of Keep Pakistan Green, ACSEC Initiative of Aitchison College and a team from Lahore Medical and Dental College.  FJS conducted a two day event to commemorate the Independence Day where the council members in collaboration with above mentioned teams planted over a thousand plants with in the premises of Forman Christian College. We, here at FJS are greatly concerned about the environmental changes in form of severe heat waves and hot summers. On this 14th August, we accepted the duty entrusted upon us to turn the areas clean and greener by launching a tree plantation campaign. We are greatly thankful to City42 for covering our event, whose main purpose was to make Pakistan clean and greener.
