FJS holds News Reporting Competition

The Forman Journalism Society (FJS) organized a News Reporting Competition on 11 November 2015. The intention behind arranging this competition was to enhance the reporting skills of the students, regardless of their majors. Intermediate students also took part in this competition.

For this competition, the Undersecretary General of FJS, Sultan Malik, presented himself as the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board while assuming to address a press conference, where the students were supposed to be the reporters. As Chairman PCB, he came up with the deteriorating ties between the cricketing bodies of India and Pakistan based on recent events. He announced that the Pakistani team will not take part in the T20 World Cup 2016 and that there shall be no bilateral series of any sort between the two countries, until the BCCI apologizes for its behavior and the Indian government gives assurance of providing foolproof security to the Pakistani team during the mega event in 2016.

The students were supposed to come up with a standard, print media based news story completely describing the press conference, which was to be either in Urdu or English language.
