FDS wins Team Trophy at All Pakistan Allama Iqbal Bilingual Declamation Contest
The FDS team participated in the 33rd annual All Pakistan Allama Iqbal Bilingual Declamation Contest hosted by the GCU Debating Society. This was the first time that a team from FCC won in AIBD, which truly encapsulated all the work FDS has done in the recent years to improve the skills of its debaters.
More than 45 teams from various institutions from all over Pakistan participated in the event. Momin Niazi and Hamza Mustafa formed a team and represented Forman Christian College in AIBD. Momin Niazi, through his passionately delivered speech, earned a consolation prize in the English category. Together with Hamza Mustafa, from the FCC team was able to qualify for the finals along with three other teams.
The competition came to a spectacular end with our team earning the Team Trophy in the competition. This session 2013-2014 also marked the 150th anniversary of GCU.
