FDS participates in SIMS All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Championship
SIMS All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation and Parliamentary Debating Championship was held on 22 May 2013. A total of 16 teams arrived from various universities from all over Pakistan, like Government College, LSE, FAST, LMDC, KEMC to name a few.
Amongst them, representing Forman Christian College we had two teams for declamations and two teams for Parliamentary debates. In Declamations, Naima Farooq and Bilal Rana participated from which Naima earned 2ndPosition in English Serious Declamation. Meanwhile, in the second team we had Usama Tarar and Ammaz Bashir who earned 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
In the Parliamentary front, we had Hafiz ur Rehman Hadi, Uzair Khan and Ahsan Ali in the Urdu team. They qualified for the finals round, earning Runners Up position against GC. In the English parliamentary debate team we had Ahsan Ali , Naima Farooq and Muhammad Omer Imran. They too were runners up losing out to GC in the finals round. Ahsan Ali was awarded Best Speaker of the tournament in both English and Urdu parliamentary debates.
