FDS continues practice debating sessions
In an effort to train and prepare their members for tough debating competitions, FDS arranged for three sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Monday, an Urdu match was held with the topic, ‘Ye aiwan Taliban ke khilaaf operation ki himayat karta hai.’ For team proposition, we had Waqar Karim, Gardezi and Adnan Warraich while team opposition comprised of Ahsan Rashid, Usama Tariq and Rizwan Saleem. Hafeez ur Rehman Hadi judged the competition which was won by team proposition.
On Wednesday, the topic for the Urdu match was,’ Ye aiwan rishwat dene ki himyat karta hai.’ Team proposition consisted of Sidra Bashir, Adnan Warraich and Shayan Shaukat while team opposition had Ahsan Rashid, Usama Tariq and Rizwan Saleem. The judges for this match were Muhammad Omer Imran, Hafeez Ur Rehman Hadi and Waqar Karim; who then declared team proposition the winner of the match.
For the Thursday, there was a discussion/information session convened by Hafeez Ur Rehman Hadi and Muhammad Omer Imran. In this session the areas that were covered included debating skills, different tactics to be employed, time management, individual weaknesses of each team member and current affairs.
