FCC students judged best speakers at UMT All Pakistan Multilingual Declamations

UMT hosted its first ever All Pakistan Multilingual declamations and Bilingual parliamentary debates on 31 May 2013. A total of 16 teams arriving from universities like GIKI, KEMU, FAST, PU etc took part in this event, all competing for the UMT cup.

The Forman Christian College English parliamentary team consisted of Momin Khan, Naima Farooq and Muhammad Omer Imran. They qualified in the Finals round and won the championship beating out FAST. In the Urdu front, we had Hafiz ur Rehman Hadi, Uzair Khan and Ahsan Ali who lost out in the finals to KEMU.  In the English category Naima was declared the best speaker of the tournament and Ahsan was declared best speaker in the Urdu category.

In the declamations part of the event, Syed Ajmal earned first position in the Pushto speeches. Maryam Gillani came 2nd in Punjabi speeches while Syed Fazal Hassan Kirmani won a consolation prize in Punjabi as well.
