FCC student bags 1st position in Chief Minister’s Essay Writing Contest

Forman Christian College bagged the top position in the English Essay Writing Competition at Chief Minister’s Division Level Essay Writing Competition (Postgraduate Level) held at Government College of Home Economics on Tuesday, 29 November 2011.

Muhammad Adeel, BSc (Hons) Biotechnology clinched the first position. This is is the third successive time that he has attained first position in the CM’s Essay Writing Contest.  He is part of the Formanites Debating Society and was recently awarded with the “Roll of Honor” by the university for actively participating in various debating and writing competitions.

Students from Punjab University, Lahore College for Women University, University of Central Punjab, Government College University, Forman Christian College and Government MAO College participated in the competition. The subjects for English and Urdu essay writing competitions were: “Does History Matter” and “Pakistan Kay Aabi Masail or un Ka Hal” respectively.

Chief Minister’s Speech and Essay Writing Contests are held each year to promote extra-circular activities among students. Winners are awarded with cash prizes from the Chief Minister, Mr Shahbaz Sharif.
