Dr Khurram Siraj guest speaker at Physics Society lecture
The Benade Physics Society organized a lecture on “Laser plasmas and thin film deposition” in the auditorium (S-009) of the new Armacost Science Building. The guest speaker was Dr Khurram Siraj, Director Postgraduate Studies at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore. It was a very informative lecture and very well attended by students from both baccalaureate and intermediate. Dr Siraj highlighted the new horizons in the field of laser plasmas and introduced some newly invented techniques in this field of physics. In the end there was a question and answer session which was expertly handled by the distinguished guest speaker. Dr Sufian Aslam, Head of the Physics Department, and other members of the department were also present. At the end, Dr Sufian presented the guest speaker with a special shield as a gesture of appreciation for his attendance and lecture.
