Women Empowerment Society
The Women Empowerment Society (WES) was founded on 01 November 2014 at Forman Christian College as an initiative to break the stereotypes regarding women in our present day society. WES aims to empower and unshackle the potential that women possess but cannot put it to use due to our patriarchal system.
The society has gained recognition for representing women plus challenging the distorted and often misguided notions about feminism in particular.
WES has collaborated with various other societies at FCC and arranged a multitude of successful events like the Women Empowerment Conference, Pink Ribbon Day, Tribute to Manto etc. while also inviting over famous celebrities and guests. All this has helped put women in the limelight for once and focus on their issues.
If you intend to be a part of this movement and believe in women being on an equal footing with men, don’t hesitate to join WES.
