Team FCC shines at KEMU Debating Champion
King Edward Medical University hosted its 14th annual All Pakistan Debating Champion, 2013. Students from various colleges and universities came to participate in the event. Under its banner, three different debating competitions were held; English Parliamentary debates, Urdu Parliamentary debates and Bilingual Declamations.
Representing Forman Christian College, Hafeez Ur Rehman Hadi, Uzair Khan and Waqar Karim formed the team for Urdu Parliamentary. They successfully reached the Finals round of the competition and earned the Runner’s up Trophy, losing out to Punjab University. For English,Muhammad Omer Imran, Sidra Bashir and Naima Farooq participated in the competition.
In the Bilingual Declamations, Momin Niazi spoke in the English Category while Hamza Mustafa spoke in the Urdu category. In this, Team FCC qualified for the Finals round and demonstrated extraordinary speaking skills. Hamza Mustafa earn 2nd position in the Urdu Category while Momin Niazi garnered 3rd position in the English Category. Team FCC won the Runners up trophy in Declamations as well.
