SCS arranges a Computational Chemistry Workshop

Speers Chemical Society arranged a Computational Workshop for the students to learn about Chemistry Software. The event took place on Wednesday 25 October 2017 in S-320. Students and Faculty members from Department of Chemistry participated actively in the event. The students were keen for the lecture and workshop as all the seats were occupied. Dr Imtiaz Shafiq from Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Punjab delivered an interesting lecture on ‘Structural Bioinformatics and Molecular Modelling’ during the first hour of the session. While, Dr Hira Khalid, from Department of Chemistry, FCCU, conducted the Computational Workshop in the 2nd half of the session. She taught the basic principles and usage of the software (Chem-draw) along with demonstration on forming structures and writing chemical equations etc.
