SBS visits Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital
The Senior Biology Society arranged a visit to the Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital and Research Center.
Dr. Saba Butt and Dr. Haroon Bhatti, from the Biological Sciences department, accompanied the students. Nearly 30 students got a chance to observe the operations of the hospital. The SKM manager welcomed the students and gave them a tour of the different departments, including the OPD hall, chemotherapy area, Radiology department and Pathology labs.
He also explained the criteria for admitting patients in the hospital and about the utilization of funds. The students also attended a presentation made by the Direct Resource Manager about the establishment and development of the hospital over the past few years.
The students had tea at the end and thanked the administration for such an informative visit.
