SBS holds second session of Bio لوگ
On 25 March 2015, the Senior Biology Society (SBS) held the second session of Bio لوگ a first-of-its-kind series of sessions about the stories of the people from the Department of Biological Sciences.
Continuing with the spirit of the recently celebrated Founder’s Week at FCC, Team SBS invited Dr M Rehan Siddiqi who is the first Professor Emeritus of Forman Christian College. With expertise in Integrative Plant Anatomy, Dr Siddiqi has over 50 years of teaching and research experience. He has also served as Principal, Dean of Natural Sciences, and the Head of Botany Department at FCC. With a lifetime spent at FCC in multiple capacities, he surely had a lot to share with the new-age Formanites.
Dr Siddiqi talked about his childhood, family, student life and professional career. He took audience for a trip down memory lane as he shared the pictures that spoke a thousand words. The sudience particularly enjoyed the glimpses of different eras of Forman Christian College throughout his talk. Dr Siddiqi specially talked about the changing dynamics at FC College, right from the pre-nationalization to nationalization, and then finally de-nationalization. His spontaneous answers to the questions in the special Rapid Fire round were the highlight of the session. The event came to a close with a group photo of the Faculty with Team SBS.
