LES celebrates 100 years

Since 1915, the Depart of Economics at Forman Christian College has been offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The department has evolved over time, bringing it up to par with contemporary needs. Currently there are over 400 Baccalaureate students majoring in Economics and it is one of the most popular degree programs at FCC.

This year the Lucas Economics Society celebrated 100 years of its success and service with a cutting ceremony on 2 February 2015. FCC’s Associate Vice Rector Dr Sufian Aslam and Professor in Depart of Economics Dr Akmal Hussain were present at the occasion.

Patron of Lucas Economics Society Mr Salahuddin Ayyubi and Dr Sufian and  talked about the achievements of the society and that it received the Most Active Academic Society Award in 2014. Dr Akmal Hussain was also invited to share his experiences with the department.
