IAS holds Awareness Session on the Global UGRAD Program

Global UGRAD Program 2013 Awareness Session by the International Affairs Society (IAS)

The International Affairs Society (IAS) held an Awareness Session on the Global UGRAD Program 2013 on Monday, November 12, 2012 in S008, 1:00 to 2:00 pm. The session was conducted by the President of the society, Sundus Mehmood. Sundus has been to the US for one semester on this scholarship program in Fall 2010 along with 6 other Formanites that year. Since then, the number of Formanites who get selected for this scholarship have significantly increased due to the efforts of IAS.

The session was aimed at creating awareness about the specific program, the application process and specific instructions regarding the application package that would not be available to the general student population otherwise. About 60 students attended the session and it was followed by a thorough questions and answers session where the students got a chance to not only interact with the Alumni of the program, but more recently selected Grantees from FCCU as well.

IAS intends to hold a follow-up session soon after some Formanites get selected for this program, so as to guide them for their interviews and provide them with necessary pre-departure information and wishes all the best to all Formanites applying for this program.
