FPSS organizes a lecture on Preconditions for Peace between India and Pakistan
The Forman Political Science Society held a lecture on Preconditions for Peace between India and Pakistan. Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad was invited as a guest speaker.
Dr Ahmad commented that both India and Pakistan should discuss modalities and if possible a time should be scheduled for discussions on all outstanding issues including Kashmir, Siachen and Sir Creek. That is the only way to improve prospects for peace between the two countries. The media on both sides of the border have a greater responsibility to act as a supporter of peace and this can be done if news channels avoid giving most of the air time to hawks.
