FPS holds Welcome Week for Class of 2018

For the first time in FCC, the Forman Photography Society took the initiative to organize a welcome week for the Class of 2018. The Welcome Week was held between from 27 to 31 October 2014 to help the incoming Freshmen to get to know each other and also the university that would serve as their second home until their graduation.

The week started off with a short “welcome ceremony” for the freshmen where the organizing team and volunteers welcomed the new students in an enthusiastic and warm manner to make sure they felt at-home. A photo booth was also organized throughout the week to make sure no beautiful moment could be left un-captured. In addition, a beautiful event named “let’s get to know each other” was conducted with an aim to familiarize the incoming class with each other in an eventful manner. Apart from the great performances, the students enjoyed the surprise activities, indoor games and a food gala.

FPS also organized motivational talks by speakers who helped prepare the new students for their life at university. A scavenger hunt was also conducted where participants were divided into teams and were asked to hunt for secret treasures hidden at various points on campus. In addition, there was an on-campus movie screening for the students.

The week came to an end in the most beautiful manner when the sky above the university was lit up with amazing sky lanterns to promote unity and appreciate what the university has to offer.

It was a joy to see how the confidence of these freshmen was promoted and how they interacted with one another and their seniors without any hesitation.

FPS will also organize a welcome party for Freshmen in the coming weeks.
