FJS conducts Dunya News Recruitment Drive

A Dunya News Recruitment Drive was hosted by the Forman Journalism Society in E-025 from 02:00 pm to 04:00 pm. The students were invited to give auditions for news anchoring which were monitored and filmed by the Dunya News Team. The event was supervised by Advisor FJS and Assistant Professor of Mass Communication, Syed Muhammad Saqib and lead by president FJS, Mian Ahmed Shujah.
Students came up with different social, political, environmental and economic news reports. First auditioner talked about Panama leaks exposure, of how the leaders of our nation have been found to have bank accounts outside Pakistan which contained black money. Some covered political scenarios; where some discussed the elections while others talked about the Shareef family arrests.
Students were then given recruitment forms, which were supposed to be submitted to the Dunya news team. The selection is to be made on the basis of each student’s.Volunteers were being judged on 3 things confidence, camera facing skills and speaking skills. Each volunteer was alloted a 2 minute time slot to speak on any news report in Urdu language only. Forman Journalism Society feels great in bringing the team of Dunya News Channel to FCC so that students can get a platform to exhibit their talent of news anchoring and get a chance to get recruited in one of the finest media outlet in Pakistan.
