FCS holds Speed Programming Challenge & Quiz Competition

Formanites Computing Society held a speed programming challenge along with a quiz competition in November 2013 for FCC students to come and explore their skills in the field of computing and general knowledge.

The Programming Competition was based solely on how fast you can come up with codes to tricky problems presented to you. Whereas the quiz competition included general knowledge questions about Pakistan, quantitative skills and English which was meant for everyone not just computer science students.

The students performed really well. The Programming Competition had a tough competition between top 3 teams beating their record every moment. At the very last moment Shabbir Ahmed Awan and Wasif Raza won it completing a total of five codes. Faraz Ahmed and Raza Rana got the 2nd Position completing a total of 4 programming problems, likewise Sibtain Bin Khizar and Wasi Ul Qadir did 3 problems, and got 3rd Position. Similarly, in the quiz competition, Abdullah Talal won the competition with total of 28 score out of 50 and the runner up was Ismail Afzal on 27 score. Both performed really well. A small ceremony was held in the presence of the advisor of the society where Ms Saira Anwar distributed cash prizes and trophies to the winners and runner ups of Programming and Quiz Competition.
