FCC pioneer in Green School Program

FCC and WWF Pakistan signed a memorandum launching Green School Programme in FCC on 25 November 2011.

FCC is the pioneer green school university in Pakistan. This program has been launched in FCC by the collaboration of FCC’s student run society, Earth Watch Club with WWF.

Mr Anwar Naseem (Director Operations WWF), Dr Tebbe (Executive Vice Rector FCC), Dr Manzur Gill (Advancement Officer FCC and Advisor Earth Watch Club), Dr William George (Professor Department of Biological Sciences FCC) and representatives of Earth Watch Club FCC attended the signing of the MoU. The purpose of this program is to participate in various WWF activities organized under the Going Green campaign. These activities will be held on FCC campus from time to time. Activities in the program include eco-internship, workshops for students and faculty, seminars and interactive sessions based on environmental issues, trips to conservation sites and observation of all environmental days on campus.

Earth Watch Club hopes to participate in this program to make the Going Green campaign successful. Formanites will ensure active participation in all activities for the betterment of the community.
