EWC holds Green Cafe session 1
Earth Watch Club held its first Green Cafesession on Tuesday 03 November 2015. The Green cafe is a year round initiative with an aim to improve and expand our knowledge about the environment.
The first Green Cafe session was conducted by a Dubai based environmentalist, Badar Farooq. Badar touched a wide variety of topics related to environment. The talk mainly focused on the corporate sustainability, how it is a big buzzword and how this field is expanding. The most important topic was the concept of magic triangle of people, profits and planet how important it is to find a sustainable balance between the three. He also discussed the examples of the current corporations both local and international who are implementing sustainability measures to have a better understanding of the concept. The session was rounded off with a discussion by Mr Badar on potential careers and opportunities in Corporate Sustainability.
