EWC helps students calculate their water footprints

The Earth Watch Club arranged an awareness activity on 1 October 2014 where students calculated their water footprints. A team from the EWC guided the students through the process and helped them understand how they can reduce their water footprints. A good majority of the students participated in this activity and were surprised to see the results.

A water footprint is the amount of water you use in and around your home, school or office throughout the day. At the end of this activity, it was found that on average, each student of FCC has a water footprint of 607.8 cubic meters per year.

Earth Watch Club has announced the year 2014-15 for raising awareness regarding water conservation, and this activity is part of the annual awareness events.
