EWC at WWF Nature Art Competition
WWF-Pakistan held the National Arts Competition on 31 January 2013 at the WWF Head Office at the Ali Institute,Lahore. Five students represented Forman Christian College by participating in the competition. All the participants enjoyed painting and sketching regarding different themes such as Over Use of Resources, Deforestation, and Degradation of the Environment and themes for Environmental Awareness. Ruth Naymat Gill, Freeha John, Maida Ali, Arslan Tariq and Waleed Bin Asif participated in the competition.
The results of the competition were announced at the Nature Carnival held at Gulshan-E-Iqbal Park, Lahore by WWF-Pakistan. Arslan Tariq (Intermediate student) won the third prize with a voucher of Rs 7, 000 for his beautifully painted abstract art and Waleed Bin Asif (another Intermediate student) won the runners-up trophy. The Chief Guest at the event was the Minister of Higher Education Commission, Pakistan.
Earth Watch Club congratulates both of the winners and appreciates the participation of all the other students.
