EES invites auditions for ‘The Lesson’ and ‘The Bald Soprano’
The Ewing English Society invites FCC students to audition for two one-act plays, to be directed by Ms Marianne Murphy and performed in April. The plays, ‘The Lesson’ and ‘The Bald Soprano’ are written by Eugene Ionesco and translated by Tina Howe. Auditions are open to all FCC university students (Baccalaureate and postgraduate). Audition requirements for the plays are:
- Auditions will require students to read from the scripts of the one-act plays
If you are interested please come to S-009 on Monday and Tuesday, 9 and 10 February and on Wednesday 11 February in E-025. The auditions will take place between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on 9, 10 and 11 February.
- Please fill a print out of the audition form and bring it with you when you go to audition.

- The scripts will be made available to you on the day of the audition.
Auditions: Monday and Tuesday 9, 10 February 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in S-009 and Wednesday 11 February 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in E-025.
Call backs: Thursday and Friday 12, 13 February 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in E-025
First read through, full cast: Saturday 14 February from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Rehearsals: Monday 16 February – Thursday 26 March, Monday 13 April – Saturday 18 April 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for all days
Ongoing rehearsals: Monday 23 February – Friday 27 February from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm in E-025
Tech and Dress rehearsals: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 20, 21, 22 April
Performances: Thursday, Friday 23, 24 April
