EES holds a talk on Mapping Metaphors

Ewing English Society arranged a talk on Mapping Metaphors, a project which is being conducted at the University of Glasgow. Students and faculty members interested in the subject came to hear about the project by two of its core team members, Dr Wendy Anderson and Dr Ellen Bramwell. A presentation was shown which told the attendees about the Mapping Metaphors project and how it can be used by everyone. The project explores metaphors in the English language, dating back 1300 years and maps its inter-connections. The event was hosted by FCC’s Assistant Professor, Dr Paulina Subiabre Ubilla. After the presentation, Dr Paulina connected with Dr Ellen Bramwell, the Research Assistant for the project via Skype so those present could have their questions answered directly from someone involved in the project.
