Dr Akmal Hussain talks about ‘Development in Pakistan’
The Lucas Economics Society arranged a lecture by Prof Dr Akmal Hussain from the Department of Economics on ‘Development in Pakistan’ on 9 January 2013.
He talked about the role of institutions in economic development and how the modern centers have moved towards the stream of development due to open access economy. He also discussed how due to industrialization and other factors the developed economies have moved ahead and developing nations are still lagging behind.
The two-hour long lecture ended with an interesting question-answer session. The auditorium was jam-packed with students from different departments.
