DG ISPR talks about role of the Army in the fight against terrorism
The Forman Political Science Society held a lecture on the role of the Army in the fight against terrorism. The guest speaker was DG (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa who is a recipient of Tamgha-e-Basalat.
Gen Bajwa talked about the Swat operation, the army’s role in FATA and operation Zarb-e-Azab. He also threw light on army’s development projects in war effected areas. He said after the army initiates an operation against terrorists, it also clears the area, rebuilds it and transfers it to the civilians.
