Demonstration of Disaster Management at FC College
16 FCC students who recently got Medical First Respondent Training (MFR) from Rescue 1122 demonstrated a disaster management exercise in conjunction with Rescue 1122 on FCC campus on 26 January 2012.
The exercise comprised of a demonstration of first aid and pre-hospital treatment to victims of a a blast by FCC MFRs and Rescue 1122. The activity was to show how a trained community can handle the situation before the arrival of Rescue 1122 and how that can help to increase the number of lives saved.
Dr Rizwan Naseer (Director General Rescue 1122), Dr Ali Imam Syed (Assistant Director Medical Rescue 1122), Ms Cheryl Burke (Dean of students FCC), Mr Kashif Sharoon (Director Student Activities FCC), Ms Uzma Khan (Director Communications FCC), Mr Rufis Rashid (Director Services FCC) along with other faculty members and students came to witness the demonstration. They appreciated Red Crescent Youth Group’s efforts of setting an example to live by the college motto ‘By Love, Serve one another’.
