BPS holds Orientation for Physics Major

The orientation was organized by the Benade Physics Society for the freshman of Fall 2016. The event took place in the Electronics Lab of the Physics Department on 15 March 2017 at 01:00 pm. A presentation was given to them regarding the credit hours required to earn in order to get a baccalaureate degree and how that degree is divided into various sections containing the general education, electives and obviously the Major requirements. It also explained the core courses one needs to take to meet the Physics degree requirements and generally talked about the entire road map for Physics majors. The presentation was very informative and all the queries of the students were answered. Afterwards all the faculty members introduced themselves, their current research areas and the courses offered currently. Students were also informed of the career opportunities as physics majors and how to pursue them. The event ended with a warm welcome by the Head of the Physics Department.
