BPS arranges a workshop DFT and MD by Dr Abdul Sattar
On 01 February 2017, Benade Physics Society arranged a workshop on “DFT and MD” by Dr Abdul Sattar from Department of Physics, COMSATS, Lahore. Undergraduate senior year and graduate students of physics major attended this workshop. This workshop helped the students to learn the simulation techniques (DFT and MD) and software “Virtual Nanolab”, Basic theory of density functional theory and molecular dynamics, the software and its graphic user interface and Implementing examples of DFT and MD. It was a 3 hours long workshop. This event was hosted by Umer Waqas who is a member of BPS. At the end of the event refreshments were served to participants, faculty and the society members.
