Art Junction to organize Funkari ’16
Art Junction celebrates Arts and Culture this May with FUNKARI ’16, an Inter University Art Competition, Performing Arts Competition and Fashion Show at Forman Christian College Lahore. You can become a part of this extraordinary experience, all you need to do is observe, imagine and translate your creativity into reality.
Funakri ’16 is a 3-day, Art Festival divided into three creative competitions i.e Art Competition, Performing Arts & Fashion Show.
The theme of “Fankari” is “EAST MEETS WEST” where you can witness the fusion of Eastern and Western Cultures .
Registration Begins: 10 April 2016
Registration Ends: 25 April 2016
Art Competition:
In this competitions students will be given total freedom to translate their ideas in reality on a Canvas following the theme “EAST MEET WEST”.
Categories:
- Painting
- Sketching
- Cartoons
Note: There will only be three positions i.e 1st, 2nd, 3rd from all categories. There will be no prize money from every category.
Date: 04 May 2016
Time: 12:00 pm to 05:00 pm
Registration charges:
- 500 Rs per participant
- 1500 Rs for 2 to 3 participants
- 2000 for team having more than 3 members
Things provided: Sheets, pencils, erasers and sharpeners
Note: You are requested to bring your own drawing material according to your idea. We will be providing you with basic paints and stationery.
Art Exhibition:
Art Exhibition will provide a chance to the participants to put a price tag on their paintings or art work. People who didn’t participate in Art Competition can also exhibit their Art work and sell it.

Registration charges: 500 Rs per person (Excluding Fankari Art Competition Participants)
Performing Arts:
The platform where you need to impress the world with your hidden talents. Performing Arts will be divided into two stages i.e Stage 1 & 2.
Those participants who will fail to qualify for stage 2 will also be given certificates and can attend other events of #Funkari16
i.e Fashion Show & Grand finale.
If you are good at any of the following, you are welcome to particpate:
Dancing
Singing
Instrument playing
Comedy
Acting
Beat box
Dares

(Students will be responsible their own props and apparel)
Note: Funkari Theme “EAST MEET WEST” is Optional for “Performing Art Competition”
Fashion Show: (RAMP WALK)
Nothing more represents a culture better then your Outfit. Funkari Fashion Show gives you an opportunity to create an attire with your creative ideas and show your design to the world. Fashion show will also have Musical performances as well as the results and prize distributions at the end.
Funkari Theme “EAST MEETS WEST” is mandatory for Fashion Show.
