Team Forman Runners Up at FAST Debating Championship
Team Forman finished Runners Up at the first edition of All Pakistan Bilingual Fast Debating Championship held in Fast NUCES Lahore from 14 to 17 October 2011.
Formanites Debating Society has kept up with its legacy of winning laurels for the institute. This time around FDS showed its presence in a debating competition held in FAST University (Lahore). The competition was based on Parliamentary Style of Debating. More than twenty five teams from all over Pakistan competed in this debating championship. The team, comprising of Muhammad Adeel (General Secretary, Formanites Debating Society), Anwar-ul-Haq (President, Formanites Debating Society), Maria Maqsood and Sohail Ahmed, overcame Kinnaird College for Women in the Quarter Finals and advanced to the Semis. In the Semi-Finals, it won a 5-0 unanimous match over King Edward Medical University (KEMU). In a closely debated finale, Team Forman finished Runners Up to University of Engineering and Technology (UET). Team Forman was lauded for its efforts and awarded with the Runners Up trophy.
