EWC organizes Tree Plantation Drive

Treesare an integral part of the Ecosystem. For a healthy environment, trees and their plantation is an extremely pivotal step. Fruit trees are an essential component of the environment. Everyone in the Eco System takes advantage of the trees. To create awareness amongst the students and to further highlight the importance of planting trees, a Tree Plantation Drive was organized by the Earth Watch Club-Pakistan Climate Chapter in collaboration with the Green Panther Organization. The worthy Rector of Forman Christian College University, Dr. Jonathan Addleton, and the Student Activities Office staff eagerly participated in this drive. About six to seven fruity trees were planted outside the Rector’s office. A few trees were planted by the Guest of Honor and the Student’s Activities Office staff. Rest were planted outside the campus. It was done to achieve the target of planting 200 fruity trees. The Rector of FCCU appreciated and welcomed this initiative. The tree plantation drive was organized to create awareness amongst the students regarding the importance of tree plantation and the benefits of having a healthy environment. The mission of Earth Watch Club is to create awareness among the students regarding environmental issues.
