EWC holds Eco-Quiz’13
Eco-Quiz’13 was organized by the Earth Watch Club on 9 October 2013 The quiz moved around general knowledge questions that were devised to make participants aware of the environment. The quiz was divided into three sections, the effect of population growth on the environment, global warming and environment conservation.
The response to the event by both university and college student was commendable. Initially the decided venue was E-25, but due to a great response by the students the venue was shifted to Sinclair Hall .The quiz was taken by 260 students.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr Rehan Siddiqui, Professor Emeritus Department of Biological Sciences and Mr Kashif Sharoon, Director of student activities. .The wining prize was an Android Tablet which was given to Azlan an Intermediate student who did exceptionally well in the quiz. Other top participants were given souvenirs.
After seeing a great response from the students, Earth Watch Club has decided to organize the event again next year to reinvigorate sense of awareness for the environment among the students.
