APS organizes workshop on Open Data Kit
The Armacost Psychological Society arranged a workshop on “Open Data Kit” by Mr Hassan Farooq (MBBS, Nishtar College Multan and Residency Training from Texas, USA) on Monday 04 April 2016 from 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm. The Open Data kit is software that provides a simple and effective way of collecting, using and understanding data, and carrying out statistical analysis. This workshop was specifically aimed at Psychology students who are currently doing their Senior Thesis, or are enrolled in Research Methods or Statistics courses. The purpose was to make them aware and oriented of updated software that can make their research a more fulfilling process. The students were involved throughout the session and practiced the software in groups, while the speaker kept interacting with the students throughout. All in all, it was an informative session and a useful orientation to software that can prove to be quite helpful for research purposes.
