APS and Psychology Internship Class arranges skit on Drug Addiction
On Friday 11 July 2014, the Armacost Psychological Society along with Psychology Internship Class arranged an informative skit on Drug Addiction. The skit informed the audience about addiction as a physiological disease (much like diabetes) as well as its only precaution, which is to avoid the use of drugs. The skit also depicted various reasons due to which people become addicted to drugs and the behaviors of the family which enable or provoke this usage. It also depicted the process of therapy which clients go through at rehab centers, and the importance of seeking help from rehab centers. The skit ended with a depiction of two outcomes to the process, recovery or continuing addiction that might result in death.
