YEP takes Trip to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan

A trip was arranged by Young Entrepreneurial Platform on 15 May-2018 to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry where LCCI in collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan has organised SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Awareness Session.

The State Bank of Pakistan has undertaken various initiatives in order to facilitate SMEs’ access to finance. It includes creation of an enabling regulatory framework, market development initiatives, awareness creation and capacity building/ training programs and introduction of SME financing targets, etc.

Further, in order to enhance credit to SME sector, SBP has prepared a “Roadmap for Promotion of SME Banking”. Representatives from SBP had given a detailed presentation about the challenges and obstacles which are coming in the way of development.

Eight students went their because of limited seats. This session creates a better understanding for the students about SBP’s (State Bank of Pakistan) financing for SME’s (small and medium entreprises).

The session was really beneficial as it contained very valuable information regarding  SME.
