YEP Arranges Entrepreneurial Fiesta’19

Young Entrepreneurial Platform arranged the biggest event of Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Entrepreneurial Fiesta’19 on 4th December 2019. Dr. Bushra Usman (Advisor YEP) along with her team worked day and night to ensure that the event was successful and all its guests enjoyed their time at FC college to its most. We were successful to set up to 152 stalls, conveying different business ideas and helping creative minds depict their creativity.

Mr. Col (Retd) Hashim Dogar (Population Planning Minister) was the chief guest of the event who did the opening ceremony accompanied by FC Rector Dr James A. Tebbe . Many distinguished people joined this event and graced their presence including Rector FCCU, Dr. James A.Tebbe; Chief Student Life Officer, Ms Cheryl Burke; Dean Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Kausar Abdullah Malik, Mr.Rehmat Ullah Javed (LCCI), Mr.Ijlal (SMEDA), Mr.Sikandar Hayat (SMC’s), Dr Rao Raza Hashim (Dean of School of Management), Dr Dildar Alvi (Dean of Natural Sciences, FCCU), Miss Saman Rai ( Executive Director of Punjab Arts and Language Council), Ms Kanwal (UET), Ms. Sana Arslan (University of Education) as well as the faculty members of FCCU and other universities. This event was sponsored by School of Management, ORIC, Downtown China and Vivo Juice, Nawab Sweets and United Consultants.

This Entrepreneurial Fiesta’19 allowed young entrepreneurs from different universities and institutes to participate. The focus of the event was to boost the morale of new, as well as existing businesses that had transformed into bigger enterprises. Similarly, YEP also arranged an Industrial Zone that helped enterprises to showcase their products.

The event was primarily focused on projects of young students who presented their research and entrepreneurial projects for experiential learning at FCCU. The research symposium was conducted by Ms Syeda Tatheer Zahra (FCCU) and Ms Kanwal (UET). Besides this, YEP also settled an exciting food court, arts and craft section along with clothing section.

Above all, women entrepreneurs were given an extra edge by collaboration of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), WCCI (Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries) and LCCI (Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries) into the event.

With the aim to create a bridge between creative minds and market-base, YEP seeked to open new dimensions of networking for young entrepreneurs and to refine the ideas of these entrepreneurs as well as to make their dreams come true. In the closing ceremony, certificates were presented to the participants, organizers and volunteers of Entrepreneurial Fiesta’19. The sponsors and association partners were presented with warm thanks for their diligence, cooperation and full contribution.
