Sidra Tul Muntaha, Mariam Archer and Bushra Abbas win SBS’s Sci-Biz
On 29 September 2014, the Senior Biology Society organized a first-of-its-kind event, Sci-Biz. Participants were shown a sci-fi movie, which was chosen by a draw at the start of the event to keep up the suspense. Participants were then provided with an opportunity to pick scientific facts and flaws in the movie.
A panel of judges comprising of Dr Natasha Anwar from the Department of Biological Sciences, Dr Amjid Iqbal from the Department of Chemistry and Dr Monas Shahzad from the Department of Physics, evaluated the answers of the participants.
The team consisting of Sidra Tul Muntaha, Mariam Archer and Bushra Abbas won the First Prize. The winning team was presented with certificates as well as a cash prize. The event came to end with all the participants appreciating the concept of the event.
