Forman Symphonic Strings live at PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week 2014
The Forman Symphonic Strings (FSS) is an ensemble of 9 violinists (male and female) headed and trained by Hamza I Butt which started off from a group violin class at Forman Christian College in 2014. The members include Qasim Zafar, Abdullah Sohail, Sohaib Lali, Beenish Ali, Mustafa Mehkary, Hassan Haider, Rabia Zahid and Azriah Wilbur John.
FSS performed the theme song from the Hollywood movie ‘The Godfather’ at PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2014 Day 1 in the opening act of designer Hassan SheheryarYasin’s show ‘Divine Decadence’. It was choreographed well with the entrance of the team dressed in tuxedos marked by sounds of thunder. This was accompanied by a visual simulation of lightning and grim red lighting in overhead chandeliers. The performance consisted of a live harmonic melody played over a segment from the movie’s theme song.
