EWC organizes trip to the Walled City

The Earth Watch Club arranged a trip to the walled city of Lahore on the 21 November 2015. It was a group of approximately 60 students from FCC and everyone enjoyed it to the fullest.

It was a one day trip which included a guided tour of Wazir Khan Mosque and Shahi Hamam among other attractions. Additionally students were accompanied by two professional guides who helped the students learn and soak in the aura of history and cultural heritage.

The students were greatly impressed by the architecture and the prestige associated with it. As many of the buildings have undergone renovation recently, the true aesthetic sense of the area was prevalent. The students were greatly fascinated by the hustle and bustle of walled city. The rangeela rikshaw ride was a real highlight and depicted the true rich, vibrant and colorful culture of walled city.

The trip ended with a dinner at Fort View Restaurant where the students got a chance to enjoy the lovely weather and listen to live Qawalli which gave a sense of being immersed within the culture.
